We regret to announce the passing of Thelma King Singletary, age 93, of the Pine View Community who passed away at the home of her daughter in Donalsonville, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Wayne Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville. Visitation will be held Friday, April 29, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Singletary was born in Seminole County on October 12, 1911 to the late Joseph Virgil and Lela Sirmons King and was the step-daughter of Nancy Lane King. She graduated from Campbell's Business College in Dothan, AL. She worked in these Seminole County offices; Welfare Department, Sheriff 's office with C. L. Chandler, Tax Commissioner's office with W. H. Roberts and many will remember her when she worked at Leon's Cleaners. She was the oldest member of Jakin Freewill Baptist Church in Jakin, GA, and was married to the late Lee Roy Singletary who preceded her in death in 1993. Mrs. Singletary leaves to cherish her memory a son Rev. Marshall Singletary and his wife Margaret of Waynesboro, GA; a daughter Kathy S. and her husband Sidney Doster of Donalsonville, GA; two granddaughters Sandra Harris and her husband Shane of Thomasville, GA; Jennifer Mathis and her husband Rob of Gainesville, GA; two great grandchildren Noah Harris and Jenna Mathis; a sister-in-law Theresa King of Donalsonville, GA.
