WANDA GAIL SMITH COOK

January 15, 1946 — August 20, 2020

Mrs. Wanda Gail Smith Cook, age 74, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Cook will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Trawick and Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating. Interment will follow with Mark Burkett, Clint Mims, Greg Mims, Shane Saunders, Michael Thompson and Brad Thompson serving as active pallbearers. We recommend that masks be worn and social distancing is required. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church PO Box 616 Donalsonville, GA or Seminole County Warpath on Cancer 200 W. 10th St. Donalsonville, GA 39845. Mrs. Cook was born in Seminole County, Georgia on January 15, 1946 to the late T.N. and Versie Tindell Smith. She attended the Seminole County School system and from 1985 until her retirement in 2008, she worked with her husband in the operation of their family owned grain merchandise, farm and real estate management company. Gail was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over sixty years, where she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher in her younger years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 56 years Gene Cook; her daughter, Lisa Cook Spooner and husband Mark; her son, Robert Scott Cook; her grandson, Ray Spooner; her sister, Margie Smith Barton and husband Roy; her brother-in-law, Raleigh Albury; brother-and sister-in-law, Richard and Pat Cook; sister-and brother-in-law, Irene Cook Bush and Joe Bush; and brother-in-law, Larry Cook. Mrs. Cook is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents, T.N. and Versie Smith; her grandson, Buck Spooner; her brother, Ray Smith; and her sister, Lavonia Smith Albury.
