WALTER SCOTT GREENE

Walter Scott Greene, age 56, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 16, 2021 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. John Calhoun officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines. Mr. Greene was born in Eufaula, AL on April 4, 1965 to Walter Thomas Greene and Catherine Dorsett Greene. He was a self-employed auto body shop painter and repairman. Mr. Greene enjoyed fishing and was of the Baptist faith. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Catherine Kennedy (Sam Beasley) of Donalsonville, GA; his son, Allen Greene of Donalsonville, GA; his sisters, Brenda Sands (Allen) of Dothan, AL and Sandra Almendariz-Greene (Alfredo) of Jakin, GA; his brother, Thomas LaDon Greene of Dothan, AL; his stepbrother, Jeff Kennedy of Dothan, AL; his stepsister, Penny Gilley of Dothan, AL; and his significant other, Tammy Houston of Donalsonville, GA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Alex Childree and Joseph McCallister, as well as his stepmother, Priscilla Greene and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Greene was preceded in death by his father, Walter Thomas Greene; his step-father, Horace Kennedy; and his wife, Annette Greene.
