Walter Ruedon Herring

Walter Ruedon Herring age 74, of Iron City, GA passed away on February 23, 2025 at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, AL

 Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Rock Pond/Olive Grove with Elder Paul Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Judge Williams, Jr., Scott Smith, Kent Mathis, Jacob Herring and Austin Herring serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

 Mr. Herring was born on July 16, 1950 in Delwood, FL to J.W. Herring and Wilda Mercer Herring. He worked as a supervisor for Florida State Hospital. Mr. Herring loved antique fans and loved being outdoors. Mr. Herring truly loved his family especially his grandsons.

 Mr. Herring is survived by his wife, Retah Mosely Herring; his children, Susan Nicole Herring and Walter Richard Herring and his wife Robyn; his grandchildren, Jacob Christian Herring and his fiancé McKenzie Brackin and, Austin Matthew Herring.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, James Herring and Roger Herring.
