VIOLA PARRISH NICHOLSON

Mrs. Viola Parrish Nicholson, age 85, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 4, 2022, at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL. Graveside services for Mrs. Nicholson will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Spicer officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church 2676 Burke Road, Donalsonville, GA 39845. Mrs. Nicholson was born in Elba, AL on March 9, 1937, to David Adelbert and Arizona Oliver Parrish. She married her husband, Maylon Nicholson on Feb. 3, 1956, and they were married 59 years at the time of his death in 2015. They were active members in their church, Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church, and served in several offices until his death and her declining health. Viola loved her God and worshipping and serving in her church. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, David Forest Nicholson and Elaine of Enigma, GA and Angelita Nicholson McFeeters and Michael Charles McFeeters of Valdosta, GA; one brother-in-law, John Vester Nicholson (Pamela) of Lake Seminole, GA; a sister-in-law, Twynette Nicholson of Mobile, AL; and one aunt, Patricia Parrish. Nephews, nieces, and cousins also survive. Mrs. Nicholson was preceded in death by her parents, David Adelbert and Arizona Oliver Parrish; her husband of 59 years, Maylon Nicholson; and her husband’s parents, Robert Forest and Vela Nicholson.
