TIMOTHY "TIM" BRYAN SHAMBLIN

Timothy "Tim" Bryan Shamblin, age 64, of Jakin, GA, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 21, 2025, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr.Shamblin will be held on Sunday afternoon, January 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Wingertsahn officiating.  Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Shamblin was born in Cleveland, TN, on March 22, 1960, to Jack and Ruth McNabb Shamblin.  He was a 1978 graduate of Seminole County High School, having played drums in the Green Machine Marching Band from fifth grade thru eleventh grade. He owned and operated Shamblin Automotive for a number of years, as well as taught Auto Mechanics at Seminole County High School for a period of time. Tim was a member of the Seminole County Young Farmers, having been a part of the teams that won Que-Fest competitions at the Sunbelt Expo.  Playing drums, cooking and feeding crowds, tailgating at Georgia games and cheering on his Bulldogs were among his favorite things to do.  He loved his family and spending time with them, but most importantly, he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Tim was a member of First Baptist Church of Donalsonville.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Ruth Shamblin of Donalsonville, GA; his children, Mindy Strickland and her husband, Chuck of Bainbridge, GA and Tyler Shamblin and his wife Mackenzie of Augusta, GA; and his brother, Terry Shamblin and his wife Becky of Donalsonville, GA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Noah Jack Strickland, Karmyn Claire Strickland, and Laural Ruth Shamblin.

Mr. Shamblin was preceded in death by his father, Jack Shamblin.
