Thomas James "Jimmy" Hardy, age 75, of Iron City, GA passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 31, 2021 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services for Mr. Hardy will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev, Gary Gable officiating. Serving as active pallbearers will be Emmett Cloud, Jeff Croom, Chris Croom, Scott Teston, Austin Robinson, and Colby Shingler. A native of St. Petersburg, FL, he was born on October 26, 1946 the son of James Lanier Hardy and Doris Jones Hardy. He was a deacon of the Baptist Faith, and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Hardy was a retired truck driver and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. Jimmy will always be loved and greatly missed by his wife of 53 years, Sara Jane Robinson Hardy. He also leaves to cherish his memory, a brother, Johnny (Gayle) Hardy of St. Petersburg, FL and a sister, Ellen (Daniel) Siegrist of Pineallas Park, FL; mother-in-law, Sara Robinson of Iron City, GA; sister-in-law, Betty Teston (Billy) of Jesup,GA; brother-in-law, Les Robinson of Donalsonville, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by his parents, James Lanier Hardy and Doris Jones Hardy Minaker; his step-father, George S. Minaker; and two brothers, Wendell L. Hardy and Jerry J. Hardy.
