SYBIL RUTH HUNT BURKE

Sybil Ruth Hunt Burke, age 94, of Morrow, GA and formerly of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday evening, January 19, 2021 at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA. The family will hold a private service. Mrs. Burke was born in Headland, AL on February 19, 1926 to Till and Ethel Mae Mims Hunt. She was a homemaker and member of Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Burke was a wonderful cook, who always enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jeff Burke, Gale McCoy, and Jackie Tyndall; her sisters, Faye Olive and Dorothy Campbell; 7 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her parents, Till and Ethel Mae Mims Hunt; her husband, Wilmer Russell “Sam” Burke; a daughter, Linda Kay Whittaker; her brother, Marvette Hunt; two grandchildren, Shannon McKeller and Ryan Tyndall; and a great grandchild, Justice Tyndall. Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
