Suzan Rewis Hughes

Suzan Rewis Hughes, age 69, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday evening, March 8, 2018 at her residence.A memorial service for Mrs. Hughes will be held on Sunday afternoon, March 11, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. James Scarborough officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM. Born July 7, 1948 in Coral Gables, FL to E.C. and Betty Jean Mullikin, Mrs. Hughes had lived in Jacksonville, FL and Albany, GA for almost four decades before moving to her home on Lake Seminole in her final years.  She was an accomplished teacher and school administrator in Albany, working many years at Byne Christian School.  Suzan was affiliated with Albany Christian Church while there and knew the joy of the Lord. Survivors include her husband of the last seven years, Jim Hughes; her sons, Tommy and Shane Rewis; her step daughter, Jennifer Sipes, Amy Terry, and Jamie Allen; her sisters Debra Kilpatrick and Donna Mauldin; brother John Mullikin; grand-daughter Ariel Bradford and great-grandson Caleb Bradford; family members including Becky and Vona Rewis of Adel, GA along with close relatives, nieces and nephews from the Rewis, Hughes and Boone families.Arrangements entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home
