ROY "SHUG" YOUNG

Roy “Shug” Young, age 79, of Blakely, GA passed away Monday morning, January 25, 2021 at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely, GA. Graveside services for Mr. Young will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Oakview Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Byron Dekle officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service. Mr. Young was born in Lithia, FL on June 30, 1941 to Robert Hayden and Lessie Toole Young. He was of the Baptist faith. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Lessie Ruth Young of Roseburg, OR and his sister-in-law, Judy Young of Jakin, GA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Hayden and Lessie Toole Young; his brothers, Robert Hayden Young, Jr. and Carl James Young; and a sister-in-law, Myrtle Young.
