RONALD W. SIRMONS

Ronald W. Sirmons, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Northside Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Georgia. 

 A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, Georgia. 

 Mr. Sirmons was born in Donalsonville on July 2, 1949, to Louie M. Sirmons and Alene Williams Sirmons. He served in the US Army and was deployed to Vietnam during the war. He worked for Port St. Joe Paper Company for several years before establishing his own video rental business in Wewahitchka, Florida. Upon retirement, Mr. Sirmons moved to The Villages, Florida, where he resided until 2020, when he moved to The Oaks Senior Living facility in Cumming, to be near his sister. He was an avid movie buff and had an extensive collection of movies, which he enjoyed sharing with the residents of the assisted living facility. Ron was beloved by his fellow residents and had the reputation of looking out for their welfare.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia Sirmons Brackin and her husband, Vann Brackin, of Cumming, GA, as well as two nephews, Todd Brackin of Carrabelle, FL, and Brent Brackin, of Sandy Springs, GA. 

 Mr. Sirmons was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Alene Sirmons.
