Mr. Ricky Lee Suggs, age 66, of Jakin, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. Memorial services for Mr. Suggs will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Smith officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Mr. Suggs was born in Colquitt, GA on Feb. 20, 1956 to James Walter and Agnes Othelia Black Suggs. A 1974 graduate of Seminole County High School, he played both defense and offense for the Indians; bringing home the 1974 region 1-A championship with his team his senior year. An ambitious man, Rick was armed with an iron will and fierce intellect. He could construct or restore anything. He was the owner and operator of All S.T.A.R. Truck and Trailer. Rick had a radiant personality and a heart of gold. He was a proud father and grandfather, a truly exceptional man. He left this world too soon and will be deeply missed by friends and family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Ashlee (Will) Hornsby of Iron City, GA, Tarrah (Brandon) Rogers of Dallas, GA, and Joshua Suggs of Pensacola, FL; his mother, Othelia Suggs of Donalsonville, GA; his grandchildren, Mason Hornsby, Preston Hornsby, Amzie Hornsby, and Emma Rogers; and his sister, Tamara (Redd) Bradley. Mr. Suggs was preceded in death by his father, James Walter Suggs and his brother, Rodney Suggs.
