Richard "Ricky" Cross

Richard “Ricky” Harlson Cross, age 66, of Iron City, GA passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019. A memorial service for Mr. Cross will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Miller officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Cross was born on February 25, 1953 in Donalsonville, GA to the late Harlson Beecher Cross and Bernice Chambers Cross. Mr. Cross owned and operated Cross Hardware in Iron City, GA. Ricky was quick of wit, easy to laugh, enjoyed helping in his community and was always barefooted. He was also a volunteer firefighter in Iron City.    Mr. Cross is survived by his wife, Jeana Cross of Iron City, GA; his sons Jason Cross of Dothan, AL and Shawn Cross of Iron City, GA; grandchildren, Justin Cross and Harlson Cross both of Cairo, GA; step-children, Kerry Anderson and her husband Earl of Donalsonville, GA, and Christopher Bush of Donalsonville, GA; step-grandchildren, Brandon Phillips and Madison Anderson; his sister, Diane Copeland and her husband Sydney; his brother, Steve Cross and his wife Stephanie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements handled by Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
