Relda Alday King, age 80, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A memorial service will be held on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Bell officiating. The family will hold a visitation at the family residence immediately following the service. The address is 3238 Old Jakin Road, Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. King was born in Donalsonville, GA on December 29, 1941 to Aubrey and Inez Runnels Alday. She was a graduate of Seminole County High School and retired after 25 years of service with the Seminole County Elementary School as a Paraprofessional. Mrs. King loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing golf and fishing was her favorite sport, aside from Georgia football. Mrs. King was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Larry King, Jr. and wife Angela of Colquitt, GA, Denease Harrison and husband Ken of Bainbridge, GA, and Kenny King and wife Gina of Donalsonville, GA; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Carolyn Johnson of Donalsonville, GA, Peggy Clark of Ocilla, GA, and Sue White and husband Dewey of Donalsonville, GA; her brother, Curtis Alday of Donalsonville, GA; her sister-in-law, Barbara Alday of Donalsonville, GA; and Squirt the Cat. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Alday and Inez Runnels Alday; her husband of 62 years, Larry King, Sr.; her brother, Benny Alday; and BoBo the Dog. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thank you to Agape Hospice, Louise Reynolds, and Sherry Delk for the compassionate and loving care they have given to Mrs. King.
