RAMONA GORDON

Ramona Houston Gordon, age 92, of Dothan, AL and formerly of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday afternoon, May 13, 2021 at Westside Terrace. Funeral services for Mrs. Gordon will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Messer officiating. Interment will follow in Houston Cemetery at the Miller-Early County Line on Hwy 27 Colquitt, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Mrs. Gordon was born in Early County, GA on October 31, 1928 to Cherry and Ruby Holley Houston. She worked for the City of Donalsonville as the City Clerk for 25 years before retiring. Mrs. Gordon was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville and had been a member of the choir. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jeannie Conyers and husband Dewayne of Ashford, AL and Cherri Gordon of Leesburg, GA; her daughter-in-law, Jeneane Gordon Bush and husband Dewayne of Shreveport, LA; and her brother, Ottis Houston of Lake City, FL. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kevin and Gabrielle Conyers and Justin Gordon and his wife Melanie; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Lily, and Harrison Gordon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by her parents, Cherry and Ruby Holley Houston; her husband, Gene Gordon; her son, Michael Eugene Gordon; and her siblings, Nadine Middleton, Lessie Budka, Ruby Lee Register, Margie Sanders, T.B. Houston, Butler Houston, and Herbert (Hub) Houston.
