SAMUEL PHILLIP "PHIL" COOK

Samuel Phillip “Phil” Cook, age 62, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday morning, July 28, 2022 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Cook will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Wilton Albritton and Rev. Joe Tatum officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with James Taylor, Paul Drake, Chad Downing, Jacob Jackson, Rodney Jackson, and Brian Donley serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Cook was born in Macon, GA on January 7, 1960 to Claud Samuel Cook and Pearl Smith Cook. He graduated from Glenville High School in 1978 and attended Swainsboro Tech. Mr. Cook worked as a supervisor with Amocco/Propex until the company closed in 2012. He loved to play golf as well as being an avid Georgia football and Atlanta Braves fan. Phil was a family man, he loved his family, most especially his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 34 years, Judy Cook of Donalsonville, GA; his mother, Pearl Cook of Lumber City, GA; his daughter, Mandy Hodges of Donalsonville, GA; his granddaughters, Mattie Grace Hodges and Mary Beth Hodges of Donalsonville, GA; and his mother-in-law, Betty Jackson of Colquitt, GA. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his father, Claud Samuel Cook.
