NELL GRIFFIN LANE

Nell Griffin Lane, age 80, of Iron City, GA passed away Friday evening, December 15, 2023, at her residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lane will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Johns and Rev. Johnny Roberts officiating.  Interment will follow in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Patrick Wells, Spencer Wells, Cole Culverson, Nathan Summer, Griffin Wells, and Grady Kennedy, serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lane was born in Colquitt, GA on July 26, 1943, to David and Estelle Kelley Griffin.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandkids and siblings.  Mrs. Lane especially loved shopping for the grandkids and great grandkids, TJ  Maxx and Cracker Barrel being two of her favorite places.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Tim Wells and wife Elizabeth of Marietta, GA, Dawn Kelley and husband Tony of Colquitt, GA, and Bryan Wells and wife Teresa of Donalsonville, GA; and her sister, Zella O’Quin and husband Jack of Brunswick, GA. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Erika Kennedy, Jessica Griffin and husband Bobby, LeAndra Culverson and husband Cole, Caitlin Summer and husband Nathan, Peyton Wells, Griffin Wells and wife Tatianna, Spencer Wells, Patrick Wells, Kelli Spence and husband Tristan, and Abigale Haywood; and her great grandchildren, Grady Kennedy, Leo Summer, Amelia Summer, Claire Summer, Catherine Summer, Adelee Culverson, Ashlyn Toliver, Brady Toliver, and Charleigh Spence.

Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents, David and Estelle Kelley Griffin; her husband, Roger “Atlas” Lane; as well as two brothers and five sisters.
