She was a devoted wife and mother and definitely family oriented. She loved her Church, New Hope Family Worship Center and the family atmosphere, love, caring and compassion that abounds among the congregation and the atmosphere that causes to take place as God is worshiped and praised and the Word is proclaimed. She was always concerned that the other person was seen about and taken care of before she saw about her own needs. She was an employee of Merchants and Farmers Bank, later Ameris Bank, for over 30 years. She was always concerned for the women that were incarcerated in the Seminole County jail. After Gerald and Yvonne Newberry asked her to assume the responsibility for the weekly meetings for the women at the jail after Gerald and Yvonne’s job took them on the road. During the 20 plus years that she oversaw this ministry, hundreds of women received salvation, baptism, encouragement and challenges to make a difference and change in their lifestyle that the Lord would be magnified for what He had done in their life. She always made sure that they had a Christmas party with plenty of goodies and that they not miss out on their opportunity to rejoice with everybody else for the greatest gift of all that the Lord has made available to all who avail themselves of this wonderful gift. She is survived by her husband, William Arden Parker of Donalsonville, GA; her sons, William Douglas Parker and his wife Debbie of Tallahassee, FL and Richard Allen Parker and his wife Mary of Tallahassee, FL; her grandchildren, Mallory Ann Parker, Madison Ann Parker, Tiffany Stuart, Brandon Lane and Joseph Easom. She is also survived by three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Douglas Goodson and Dorothy J. Freeman Goodson; and her sister, Dorothy Joan Clark. Arrangements entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
