MARY ANN CONN PARKER

January 19, 1939 — June 18, 2022

Mary Ann Conn Parker, age 83, passed peacefully on Saturday, June 18th. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, greatgrands, siblings, extended family and many friends of the Seminole County community. Born on January 19, 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Mr. & Mrs. Roy S. Conn. She was lucky enough to grow up in a family with four sisters and three brothers. She attended Murphy High School in East Atlanta where she met her husband, William Edward Parker. The couple married shortly after graduation. The family relocated to Iron City in 1966 with their four children. Mary Ann had many roles while living in Iron City: a caregiver for many local children, an Avon Saleswoman, Iron City Baptist Church secretary for many years, Town Clerk for 30 years, and a devoted wife and mother. As a member of Iron City Baptist Church and the Iron City Ladies Club, her true passions were her family along with her church and community. Her parents, her husband, her brother, Roy E. Conn and a grandson, JW Parker, preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Wyatt (Tina), Dr. Jim, Wendell (India) and daughter Lisa Gray (Charlie); grandchildren, Margo Donaldson (Steve), Cameron Gray (Haley), Chris Gray (Kayla), Amber, Mary, Jesse and Mike Parker; six great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Crowe, Martha Conn, Jane Conn, Jean Keesee, Sisi Conn and brothers, Earl Conn (Bobbie), Clifford Conn (Judy) along with a multitude of extended family who live in the Atlanta area. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Iron City Baptist Church or New Enterprise Freewill Baptist Church in Mary Ann’s name. Memorial services will be held Monday, June 20th with visitation at 1:00 and the service at 2:00 honoring her life at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home, 5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., Peachtree Corners, Ga. Graveside Service and Burial will be held Tuesday, June 21st at 4:00 PM at Friendship Memorial Gardens, 426 N. Friendship Avenue, Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Tony Mock officiating.
