Marianne Roberts Herring Heard

Marianne Roberts Herring Heard, age 79, of Blakely, GA formerly of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely, GA. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Mrs. Heard was born in Donalsonville, GA on July 18, 1940 to Charlie Roberts and Maddie Lou Hill Roberts. She was a certified nurse assistant and worked for the Visiting Nurses Association. Mrs. Heard is survived by her sons; Mark Herring of Donalsonville, GA, Shane Herring and his wife Richelle of Donalsonville, GA; her step-children, Tom Herring of Springhill, FL, Kay Simpson of Bat Cave, NC, Jeana Heard Cross of Donalsonville, GA, Laurie Heard, Mark Heard of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Roger Heard of Sylvester, GA; her sister; Lanura Alday of Daytona, FL: her grandchildren, Clay Herring, Kassi Herring Green, and Landon Herring; her great grandson, Bo Green. She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Roberts and Maddie Lou Hill Roberts; her first husband, Ervin Herring; her second husband, Jessie R. Heard; her daughter, Debra Herring. She was also preceded by several brothers and sisters. The family will be accepting friends at the home of Shane and Richelle Herring, 3769 Grant Graham Road, Donalsonville, GA 39845.
