Mayme Margaret Cowart Tedder, age 75, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Saturday morning, December 31, 2022, at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Tedder will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev. Nate Lehman and Rev. Scott Messer officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Jim Shingler, Billy Shingler, Chris Thompson, Shawn Edwards, Jim Morris, and Landon Thompson serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service. Mrs. Tedder was born in Donalsonville, GA on April 5, 1947, to Paul and Clyde Condry Cowart. She was a homemaker who would do anything for anyone and had a quick wit about her. Margaret was energetic and outspoken and possessed an undying love for animals, especially her fur babies, Snoopy, Charlie, and Peanut. She was a “little ball” of smiles and energy anytime you met up with her and no doubt we will never forget that “Tough as Nails” attitude she possessed. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Gaynor Tedder, Jr., Mitzy Moye and her husband Joe, and Clarissa Hill; her grandchildren, Morgan Margarette Hill and Jacob Williams, Matthew Gaynor Hughes, Blair Thompson and her husband Chris, and Layne Edwards and her husband Shawn; her great grandchildren, Winston Caleb Williams, Sutton Smith, Landon Thompson, Summer Smith, Mackenzie Thompson, Griffin Edwards, and Jackson Hughes; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tedder was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Clyde Cowart; her husband, Gaynor Tedder; and her sisters.
