LOWELL ALLEN DRAKE

Lowell Allen Drake, age 81, moved to Heaven Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald, GA after a lengthy illness. Funeral services for Mr. Drake will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Kirkland and Rev. Wayne Huges officiating.  Interment will follow in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Drake was born in Donalsonville, GA on September 9, 1937.  He was a graduate of Seminole County High School and retired from Georgia-Pacific Inc.  He attended the First Nazarene Church in Tampa, FL. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Drake of Tampa, FL; his son, Damon Drake of Colquitt, GA; his daughters, Tammy Drake and Julie Drake both of Valdosta, GA; his stepchildren, Sharon Rients and husband Mark of Denver, CO and Michelle McClellan and husband Troy of Tampa, FL.  Mr. Drake is also survived by his sister, Judy Wise and brother-in-law Forrest Wise of Hendersonville, TN.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Drake was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Easter Quick Drake; his brothers, Charlie, Rudolph and Thomas Drake; and his sisters, John Lee Josey, Lillian O’Regan, Annette McLeod, Mary Lou Bush and Doris Lashley.
