LLOYD ZACHERY “ZACK” WHISENANT

Lloyd Zachery “Zack” Whisenant, age 69, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 6, 2021 at the Gainesville VA Hospital in Gainesville, FL. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 14,2021 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 157 PO Box 1044 Donalsonville, GA 39845. Mr. Whisenant was born in Albany, GA on July 26, 1951 to Lloyd Whisenant and Lernie Stephens Whisenant. He served his country in the United States Marines and worked for many years as Chief of Maintenance at Georgia Pacific. Mr. Whisenant was an avid fisherman who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His days were filled with caring for his 5 fur babies and spending time with his best friend, Raymond Wilson. Perhaps Zack was best known for being the “social butterfly” at Three Squares every morning. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Dennis Whisenant and wife Tia of Quincy, FL, Anna Whisenant of Bainbridge, GA, and Amber Davis and husband Lucas of Colquitt, GA; his grandchildren, Riley Whisenant, Conner Whisenant, Katie Whisenant, Camden Fulford, Cal Fulford, and Mason Davis; as well as his brothers, Stephen Whisenant and wife Christie of North Charleston, SC and Jody Whisenant and wife Gayle of Gainesville, GA. Zack is also survived by the mother of his children, Sheila Roth. Mr. Whisenant was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Whisenant and Lernie Stephens Whisenant.
