LILLIAN CAROL BURTON

Lillian Carol Collins Burton, age 81, of Cedar Springs, GA, passed away Monday morning, October 14, 2024, at her residence.

 Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Burton will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Cedar Springs Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Dr. Philbert Babresingh officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Cedar Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, October 17, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.

 Mrs. Burton was born in Ashland, Kentucky, on June 18, 1943, to Norman Henry Collins and Clara Etta Carol Collins. She was a receptionist with Disney for 25 years before her retirement. Mrs. Burton enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially fishing with her grandson, as well as going to yard sales and thrift stores. 

 She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Clarence Burton of Cedar Springs, GA; her daughters, Teressa Burton Torres (predeceased), Tangela Burton Eddy and husband Dean of Cedar Springs, GA and Tammy Brewer of Davenport, FL; two sisters, Dorothy White and Maxine Clements; and ten grandchildren, Christina Torres, Tanya Torres, Erin Torres, Marco Torres, Jake Torres, Megan McLendon, Thomas McLendon, Richard Brewer, Teisha Brewer, and Travis Burton. Also surviving are 29 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

 Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Clara Collins; and eleven siblings, Everett Collins, Clarence Collins, Verna Collins, Raymond Collins, Norman Collins, Connie Brown, Margie Collins, Lucy Jane Collins, Ruth Crawford, Catherine Bennington, and Ralph Collins.
