Larry Elliott Mancil, Sr., age 76, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday morning, Sept. 30, 2022, at his residence. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Mancil will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Salem Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Roberts officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service with Will Cunningham, Ricky Alday, Spencer Black, David Black, Brad Thompson, and Joey Lee serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, Oct. 2, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. The family would like for everyone to dress casually for the service. Mr. Mancil was born in Bickley, GA on May 21, 1946, to Abraham Spencer Mancil and Nellie Bagley Mancil. He served his country in the United States Army and retired after 43 years working as a millwright with Container Corporation. Mr. Mancil loved fishing (especially for red bass), woodworking, making salsa and canning vegetables; however, his greatest love was for his family. He was of the Baptist Faith. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Ellen Poole Mancil; his children, Jeffery Mancil (Michelle), Cherry Bedford (Bill), Larry E. Mancil, Jr., Clay Brown (Katie), and Shannon Adams (John); his grandchildren, Malinda Thomas (Ben), Darren Brown (Courtney), Emily Palmberg (Anthony), Alyssa Adams, Dawson Mancil, Cassie Adams, Caleb Mancil (Jessica), Tyce Mancil, Kinley Mancil, and Ansley Mancil; his great grandchildren, Charlie Thomas and Baby Brown on the way; as well as his sister, Aletha Black (Ellis). Mr. Mancil was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham Spencer Mancil and Nellie Bagley Mancil.
