LARRY JOHN HARRELL

Larry John Harrell, age 78, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Sunday morning, March 13, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services for Mr. Harrell will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Crossroads Church with Rev. Glen Hancock and Pastor Tim Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Kevin Lewis, Scott Hartzog, Clay Kirkland, Edwin Hines, Scott Mitchell, and Terry Shamblin serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Willard Mims, Buck Goodwin, Steve Jordan, Harry McDonald, John Mosley, Lamar Cobb, Dr. Charles O. Walker, Sr., Larry Hartzog, Carlton Bridges, Ray Scott, and Jerry Coble. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, March 15, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Harrell was born in Bainbridge, GA on Nov. 15, 1943 to John D. Harrell and Thelma Efurd Harrell. Larry and his father, John D. Harrell, owned and operated Harrell Construction for 40 plus years. He was an avid motorcyclist, enjoying riding with friends and grandchildren. Mr. Harrell was a devoted father and grandfather to 12 grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Margaret “Margo” B. Harrell; his children, Brian Harrell and Rhonda and Brandan Harrell and Cara; his stepchildren, Jennifer Suydan and Craig, Susanne Clearman and Todd, Mimi Burchfield and Kevin, and Luke Spooner and Whitney; his grandchildren, Grant and Lacey Harrell, Jacob, Megan, Andrew, and Tyler Harrell, Emilee Nunnery, Colton and Logan Clearman, Lizzy Woodruff, Jenni Woodruff Dortch, and John Harvard; and his sister, Gayle Mann and Kevin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Harrell was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Thelma Harrell and his sister, Patsy Rosato.
