LANOLA BUSH KIRKLAND

Lanola Bush Kirkland, age 100, of Donalsonville, GA and formerly of Miller County, passed away Monday morning, Feb. 13, 2023 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kirkland will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023 at 3:00 PM EST at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Dr. Calvin Arnold officiating.  Interment will follow in the Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Cosby B. Kirkland, Stephen D. Daniels, Jeffery Scott Kirkland, Eric Enfinger, Joshua Enfinger, and Hudson Daniels serving as active pallbearers.  Carlton Thomas, Ray Grimsley, and Max Kelley will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 PM EST at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Mrs. Kirkland was born in Miller County, GA on Dec. 19, 1922 to Burrell Benjamin Bush and Beulah Hodges Bush.  She was a seamstress, having worked at Ed’s Upholstery for a number of years.  Mrs. Kirkland was also a homemaker, enjoying handwork crafts such as crocheting and embroidery, and she was a superb baker.  When visiting, one could always expect to find a poundcake waiting to be shared.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Cosby E. Kirkland and wife Brenda and Emmie Kirkland Daniels all of Ashford, AL; her grandchildren, Cosby B. Kirkland, Valisha Kirkland, Stephen D. Daniels and wife Caroline, Jeffery Scott Kirkland, and Shanna Enfinger and husband Eric; her great grandchildren, Rebekah Lane and Cam, Caleb Daniels and Rachel, Hudson Daniels, Julia Daniels, Evelyn Daniels, Kelly Kirkland Murphy and Clay, Joshua Enfinger, Luke Enfinger, Hannah Grace Enfinger, Mary Enfinger, and Sarah Enfinger; as well as her great- great grandchild, Piper Lane.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Kirkland was preceded in death by her parents, Burrell Benjamin Bush and Beulah Hodges Bush; her husband Earle Kirkland; her siblings, Leon Bush, Hoyt Bush, Lester Bush, William Bruton Bush, Bill Grimsley, Aubrey Grimsley, and Ouida Kelley; her son, Leon Kirkland; her daughter, Vonda Hester; her son-in-law, David Daniels; and her granddaughter-in-law, Wendy Kirkland.
