LADON SWANNER

Mr. Ladon Swanner, age 86, of Blakely, GA passed away Wednesday evening, December 28, 2022, at Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Swanner will be held on Friday morning, December 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev. Nate Lehman officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Stephen Wilson, Jordan Trawick, Jack Davis, Stacy Cooper, Craig Earnest, and Chane Rathel serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Walker-Webb Bible Class. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM at the church. Mr. Swanner was born in Donalsonville, GA on April 8, 1936 to J.C. and Deliah Glisson Swanner. He served his country in the United States Air Force and worked for many years as an insurance agent through his office, Swanner Insurance. Mr. Swanner was an active member of Friendship United Methodist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Jessie Lou Swanner of Miller County; his children, Ladon Swanner, Jr. and his wife Gina of Miller County, Pam Swanner of Baker County, and Dana Davis and her husband Mac of Seminole County. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Stephen Wilson, Alex Wilson, McKay Swords, Jordan Trawick, Jack Davis, Charlee Davis, Erica Powell, and Robbie Humphrey; as well as 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Swanner was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Deliah Glisson Swanner; his brother, Colon Swanner; his sister, Linda Vickers; and an infant son, Darren Swanner.
