KERRY KLEMPF SIMPSON

Kerry Klempf Simpson, age 80, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.

Funeral services for Mrs. Simpson will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. You may sign the guestbook at www.evansskipperfh.com

Mrs. Simpson was born in Milwaukee, WI on November 24, 1944 to Meyer Klempf and Charlotte Russove Klempf. Mrs. Simpson grew up in Blooming Prairie, MN and moved to Jacksonville, FL in her early teens. After graduating she moved to Donalsonville, GA where her father owned Dixie Egg Company. She completed her education by graduating Florida State University with a degree in education. She married Broaddus Simpson in 1970 and they had two children. She stepped away from teaching for several years to take care of her boys (Rusty, Joe-Mike, and Broaddus) and during that time she worked at Dot & Nez, and The Surprise Store. She retired from the Seminole County School System after 20 years in 2013 where she served as Advisor of the Honor Society for most of that time. She also served on the Friendship Cemetery Committee as secretary and treasurer for over three decades.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Rusty Simpson and Joe Mike Simpson; her brother, Michael Klempf; Mitchell and Julie Klempf, Dr. Trish Drace, Elizabeth Stubbs, Mark Klempf, Jacque Klempf and Deena Klempf; and her nieces and nephews, Mark Nowell and Susan, Calvin and Colleen, Scott, Mandy, and David Nowell..

Mrs. Simpson was preceded by her parents, Meyer Klempf and Charlotte Russove Klempf; and her husband, Broaddus Simpson; her uncles, Eddie Klempf, and Sherman Klempf; her aunt, Genny Russove.
