JOHN SCOTT HOWARD

John Scott Howard, age 58, of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and formerly of Jakin, GA passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Hospital in Miramar Beach, FL. Funeral services for Mr. Howard will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Oakview Church of God at 3:00 PM with Rev. Mylan Brookins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Ronnie Banks, Matthew Brookins, Phillip Spooner, Brian Harrell, Grant Harrell, and Kevin Lewis serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church at 2:00 PM. Mr. Howard was born in Dothan, AL on March 14, 1964 to Dick and Glenda Hawkins Howard. He was a 1982 graduate of Seminole County High School and loved photography, especially wildlife. Scott was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and was a landscaper, owning his own business. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Dick and Glenda Howard of Jakin, GA; the love of his life, Sharon Key of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; his uncle, Rev. Mylan Brookins of Calhoun, GA; and his cousins, Sheryl Phillips (Les), Carol Spooner, Phillip Spooner, and Brandi Deal (Stan) all of Donalsonville, GA, Brad Roberts of Dothan, AL, Matthew Brookins (Whitney) of Calhoun, GA, Kristin Worsley (Ryan) of Aurora, IL, and Harvaleen Colgan (Ray) of Cedar Springs, GA. Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walton and Mary Ola Hawkins and John and Ola Mae Howard, as well as his aunts, Charlotte Roberts, Debbie Brookins, and Edna Earle Hill.
