He graduated from Miller County High School in 1975 and retired from Georgia Pacific as a powerhouse foreman after working there for 40 years. Joey loved his family; his grandbabies were his heart. He was a very patriotic individual and enjoyed the outdoors. Joey loved people, he had a big heart and would do anything for anyone. The Wednesday morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast at Big Jim’s had become one of Joey’s favorite times of the week. He was an active member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church, and as much as he loved people, he loved the Lord more and he loved the Lord first before anything else. Joey was an inspiration and encouragement to so many people. Mr. Lovering leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Karen Wells Lovering of Donalsonville, GA; his children, Kevin Lovering and Brandi of Iron City, GA and Mandy Lovering of Donalsonville, GA; his grandchildren, Addy and Reagan Lovering of Iron City, GA; and his sister, Charlotte Atkinson of Bainbridge, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel Ben and Sarah Barber Lovering; his grandparents, Lennis and Naomi Lovering; and his sister, Dana Cook.
