JESUS MORONES

Jesus Morones, age 61, of Jakin, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025, at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

 Jesus was born on Dec. 25, 1963, in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Isidro Morones and Juanita Segura Bautista Morones. He loved to fish and go browsing around flea markets. Jesus’ favorite pastime was watching action movies, and he truly loved spending time with his family. He was employed at CloverLeaf Gin in Donalsonville and truly loved his work and his work family.

 He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Juanita Segura Bautista Morones; his sisters, Alma Delia Morones, Narce Dalia Morones, and Rita Graciela Morones; and his longtime friend and caregiver, Beverly Pritchett. Also surviving are his children, Tommy Sheffield and wife Sarah, Tamara Sheffield and husband Kent Teall, and Tiffany Vargas; as well as his grandchildren, Neal Sheffield, Elfredo Vargas, Tommy Sheffield, Kayla Sheffield, Brianna Sheffield, Hannah West, and Laura.

 Jesus was preceded in death by his father, Isidro Morones; his brother, Jorge Morones; and his grandson, Joseph Sheffield.
