JEANETTE KING EASTERWOOD

Jeanette Easterwood, age 86, of Iron City, GA passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 6, 2018 at her residence. Graveside services for Mrs. Easterwood will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018 at 3:00 PM at New Home Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Doug Harvey officiating.  Interment will follow.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Prior to Wednesday’s service, the family is gathering at the home of Tommy and Lisa Easterwood. Mrs. Easterwood was born in Hentown, GA on August 29, 1932.  She worked for a number of years as a caregiver/supervisor at Bainbridge State Hospital before retiring from that position.  She also worked part time after retirement as a cashier and a caregiver.  Mrs. Easterwood was a member of Iron City Methodist Church and loved gardening.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Tommy Easterwood and Lisa of Iron City, GA and Larry Easterwood of Valdosta, GA; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Easterwood was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wiley Easterwood; and two sons, Joe Byrd and Wiley Eugene Easterwood.
