HAROLD RAY MCINTOSH

Harold Ray McIntosh, age 89, of Iron City, GA , passed away Tuesday morning, March 14, 2023 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Iron City Methodist Church with Rev. George Masciarelli officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Iron City Methodist Church PO Box 62 Iron City, GA 39859.

Mr. McIntosh was born in Carroll County, GA on August 21, 1933, to Charlie and Bay McIntosh.  He earned an Associates Degree in Education from West Georgia College and served his country in the United States Army.  In 1953, Mr. McIntosh began work with the United States Postal Service as a postal clerk and transitioned to the position of rural letter carrier in 1954.  He moved to Seminole County in 1959, where he continued working as a rural letter carrier with the postal service in the Donalsonville location until his retirement in 1985. Mr. Ray was a member  of the Happy Hearts group, and most importantly a faithful member of Iron City Methodist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory, several nieces and nephews; many friends and neighbors who loved him dearly; and two that he claimed as his adopted children, Doug Aligood and Regina Rebrook.

Mr. McIntosh was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bay McIntosh; his wife, Annelle Moore McIntosh; his infant son, Dan Elray McIntosh; and his brothers, Hubert, Thomas, and Monroe McIntosh and their wives.
