Gregory "Greg" J. Mustakas, Jr. 63, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes at his home in Donalsonville, GA on February 4, 2022. Greg was born in New Brunswick, NJ in 1958 to the late Gregory John, Sr. and Gwynita Maddison Mustakas. He grew up in Milltown, NJ and as a child was a member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway. He attended East Brunswick Vocational & Technical high school until he enlisted in the United States Navy. After his deployment to the Philippines Greg relocated to Florida, where he enjoyed a lengthy career as a trucker. He was an avid motorcyclist, incredible artist and a phenomenal guitarist. One of his favorite pass times was hand crafting guitars and tinkering with motorcycles and tractors. His most recent passion project has lovingly been named "The Franken-Tractor". Greg had a tough exterior but inside he was a gentle giant. He loved to entertain his friends and family with his remarkable renditions of classic rock, giving bear hugs and spending time what time he could with the kids. He loved animals and was known to "adopt" any number of strays. Greg was predeceased by his father Gregory J. Mustakas, Sr. in 1986 and his mother Gwynita Alice Maddison Mustakas in 2016. He leaves behind to mourn his loss his daughter, Shannon Mustakas Alvarez and her husband Nelson of Waxhaw, NC, his son Gregory John Mustakas, III and his wife Elizabeth of Beach Island, SC, his sister Terry Lynn Mustakas and her paramour Pat of Irvington, NJ, eight grandchildren: Alexas, Connor, Nora, Killian, Alanna, Emma, Isaac & Isabella as well as several nieces & nephews. Cremation will be private. A graveside service and interment will take place at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick, NJ at a later date.
