Grace Faircloth Whittaker, age 91, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday evening, June 11, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Whittaker will be held on Wednesday morning, June 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Messer and Rev. Ron Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Adam Tyler, Darren Franklin, Christopher Whittaker, Jeremy Whittaker, Heath Banks, and Ray Williams serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, June 12, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. The family will also be gathering at the home of Delores and Larry Tyler. Mrs. Whittaker was born in Donalsonville, GA on Dec. 12, 1926 to David Emerson Faircloth and Belle Earnest Faircloth. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. The thing that brought the most joy and happiness into her life was her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Glenn Whittaker and Dale of Donalsonville, George Wayne Whittaker and Glinda of Donalsonville, Kennie Emerson Whittaker and Yvonne of Donalsonville, Joyce Faye Whittaker Franklin and W.C. of Colquitt, and Delores Tyler and Larry of Donalsonville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lori Banks, Adam Tyler, Krista Bellomy, Bethany Kihnley, Christopher Whittaker, Sabrina Whittaker, Amy Williams, Heather Wheeler, Jeremy Whittaker, Benny Franklin, Darren Franklin, Cindy Lovering, Missy Franklin, Dealana Staples, Mike Pepper, and Dawne Bailey; 32 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Whittaker was preceded in death by her parents, David Emerson Faircloth and Belle Earnest Faircloth; her husband, George David Whittaker, Jr. (Babe); her brothers, Fred Faircloth, Oliver Faircloth, and Arthur Faircloth; her sisters, Pauline Whittaker, Valeta Whittaker, Maggie Horn, Sarah Dukes, and Hattie Ellen Hudson; and two great grandchildren, Clayton Michael Tyler and Easton Reed Lovering.
