GRACE KELLEY

Grace Ellene Farley Kelley, age 85, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday evening, May 4, 2018 at Community Hospital in Blakely, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Kelley will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Donalsonville with Rev. Michael Wingertsahn and Rev. Kent Barwick officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens with Scott Mitchell, Brian Farley, Brad Foley, Chad Newberry, Michael Middleton, and Meed Kelley serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to First Baptist Church Donalsonville PO Box 305 Donalsonville, GA 39845.  Mrs. Kelley was born on January 28, 1933 in Fort Payne, AL to William Brumett and Nannie Jane Farley.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Donalsonville where she taught Sunday School for 20 plus years and was a member of the Merry Makers and the Women of the Word Sunday School Class.  Mrs. Kelley worked in the broadcasting industry as owner/operator of WSEM, WGMK, and WBBK AM and FM until her retirement.  She enjoyed being a part of activities at the Senior Citizens Center, but more than that she cherished the weekly outings and visits with Terry Atwell, Carleen and the late Emory Courson, and Ruth Shamblin and the selfless love these individuals had for her.  Most of all, Mrs. Grace loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Steve Farley (Vicki) of Leesburg, GA, Gil Kelley, Jr. (Lisa) of Donalsonville, GA, Mike Farley (Alyce) of LaGrange, NC, Pam Chain (Gary) of Hattiesburg, MS, and Cyndi Middleton (Mike) of Colquitt, GA; as well as her son-in-law, Ted Newberry of Donalsonville, GA.  Mrs. Kelley is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie Giglio, Brian Farley, Kelley McKenzie, Zach Chain, Hannah Grace Chain, Meed Kelley, Georgia Farley, Chad Newberry, Brooke Newberry, Michael Middleton, Jr., Jamie Middleton, and Danielle Grow; and her great grandchildren, Haleigh Giglio, Adrienne Giglio, Brianne Farley, Kristen Farley, Elizabeth McKenzie, Eli McKenzie, Harlie Middleton, Makaylie Middleton, Lillie Jane Middleton, Dalton Middleton, Makenslie Middleton, Conner Kelley, Ryleigh Kelley, Sabella Phillips, Hayden Foley, and Skyler Foley. Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by her parents, William Brumett Farley and Nannie Jane Farley; her husband, Gilbert M. Kelley, Sr.; her siblings, Liston Farley, Wyman Farley, Lewis Farley, Foy Farley, Norma Peasner, Verby Hurt, and Ronnie Farley; and her daughter, Becky Newberry.
