Frank James King, age 81, of Bascom, FL passed away Thursday evening, Oct. 14, 2021 at Donalsonville Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 16, 2021 at 5:00 PM at The Church of the Incarnation in Donalsonville, GA with Father Victor officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Incarnation PO Box 192 Bainbridge, GA 39818. Mr. King was born in Chicago, IL on May 13, 1940 to James and Vivian Anderson King. He served his country in the United States Army and then worked for BellSouth/AT&T in management before he retired. Mr. King graduated with two Masters Degrees from the University of Illinois. He was a member of the Elks and volunteered with Emerald Coast Hospice, as well as being a member of The Church of the Incarnation. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Delores King of Bascom, FL; his daughter, Sabrina Wilson of Centerville, Iowa; his step-children, Beverly Cross (Troy) of Donalsonville, GA and Colby Atkinson (Deana) of Blakely, GA; his grandchildren, James Wilson (Annie) of Chicago, Illinois and Katrina Wilson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his step-grandchildren, Morgan Cross and Owen Cross of Donalsonville, GA, Dustyn Atkinson of Bascom, FL, Cameron Cogland, Rielly Cogland, Tonia Cogland, and Steven Dismuke all of Blakely, GA, and Bryson Arthur and Drew Arthur both of Faceville, GA; and his great granddaughter, Kenley Griner of Donalsonville, GA. Also surviving are his brother-in-law, Dale Yates of Donalsonville, GA and his sister-in-law, Chris Fulcher of Buford, GA. Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents, James and Vivian King; his son, Eric King; his brother, Tom King; and his step-son, Calvin Atkinson, Jr.
