ESTHER MAE NORMAN GLASS

Esther Mae Norman Glass, age 75, of Bluffton, GA and formerly of Donalsonville, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday morning, Nov. 20, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends.

The family will hold a memorial service to celebrate her life on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at 5:00 PM at Kimbell Chapel in Colquitt, GA, with Rev. Bobby Smith officiating.

Mrs. Glass was born on August 11, 1948, to L.W. and Maurine Givens Norman.  She worked as a manager for a convenience store for several years. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Mark Burns and his wife Arleen, William “Cecil” Burns, and Teresa Ann Durham and her husband, R.J.; her brothers and sisters, Bill Norman, Edward Norman, Carole Sue Frame, Josephine Kelley, Nita Prescott, Judy McMullen, Marlee Norman, and Gregory Allen; her grandchildren, Erika Hatfield and her husband Ed, Leonard Durham and his wife Jessica, Chelsea Bussey and her husband Luke, Justin Durham and his wife Masako, Mandy Durham, James Baxter, and Jude Baxter; as well as 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Glass was preceded in death by her parents, L.W. and Maurine Givens Norman; her husband, Leroy Glass; a brother, Roger David Norman; two sisters, Iva Mae Bailey and Bessie Whitaker; a son, James Harold Baxter; a daughter, Peggy Ann Baxter; a grandson, Roy Durham, III (Trey); and two great granddaughters, Charlee Farmer and Josey Josey.
