Emma Lucille George Horn, age 69, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mrs. Horn will be held on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM at First Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Scott Messer officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church. Mrs. Horn was born in Donalsonville, GA on May 30, 1951 to Russell and Elizabeth Moates George. She attended school in Jakin and Donalsonville. She then completed a licensed practical nursing program at Jinks School of Nursing in Colquitt, GA. After completion of the nursing program, she began her nursing career at Donalsonville Hospital where she worked in surgery for 20 years. A devoted member of Donalsonville First Church of the Nazarene, Mrs. Horn was actively involved in the choir, the children’s program where she taught early age Sunday School. A faithful member of the ladies’ ministry, Mrs. Horn was actively involved in working with the other ladies as they ministered to their members as well as the community. Of all Mrs. Horn’s endeavors, her greatest accomplishments were her love of God and her family. She and Gene have two sons, Dr. Samuel Perkins and his wife Brandi of Fernandinho Beach, FL and Benjamin Horn and his wife Nicole of Colquitt, GA. Most of her smiles came from her five grandchildren, Cole, Cooper, and Morgan Perkins and Brayden and Jackson Horn. She leaves one surviving sister, Mrs. Brenda Horne and her husband Emmett and one surviving brother, Mr. Ray George of Donalsonville, GA. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Horn loved the people of her church and community as well. Mrs. Horn also had other siblings whom have passed away, Mr. Kenneth George , Mrs. Pat Erickson, and Mrs. June Buckhalter.
