EMILY WILLIAMS HUNTER

Emily Williams Hunter, age 74, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 23, 2021 at Lifebrite Community Hospital in Blakely, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Hunter will be held on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 27, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Cory Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens with Jody Ridlehoover, Mike Willis, Shane Herring, Michael Godby, Jesse “Buzz” Whitley, and Michael Drake serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Hunter was born in Seminole County, GA on Feb. 26, 1947 to Emory Douglas Williams and Ethel Tolar Williams. She was an LPN, having worked with Donalsonville Hospital, Bainbridge Memorial Hospital, and GA Baptist DDM as a house parent for many years. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Roy Johnson and his wife Lynn of Donalsonville, GA, Doug Johnson and his wife Terri of Colquitt, GA, and Larue Hooper and her companion Eric Ribble of Dothan, AL; her grandchildren, Ross Johnson, Anslee Johnson, Jessica Sexton, Taylor Henry, and Preston Henry; as well as two great grandchildren, Kadence Sexton and Zoey Sexton. Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Ethel Williams and her sister, Wauthenia Willis.
