ELAINE EASOM YORONG

Jacqueline Elaine Easom Yorong, age 65, of Daleville, AL, passed away Saturday evening, October 26, 2024, at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL after a very lengthy illness.

 Funeral services for Mrs. Yorong will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 3:00 PM EST at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Mike Hardaway officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Mike Peters, Mike Hardaway, Lorenzo Yorong, Will Pritchard, Johnny McMullen, Joseph Pound, and Kelly Rhode serving as active pallbearers. There will be a visitation held at 2:00 PM EST at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.

 Elaine was born in Donalsonville, GA on January 8, 1959, to Wayne and Wylene Fewell Easom. She graduated from Seminole County High School in 1977 and attended Georgia Southwestern University in Americus, GA. Elaine spent her career mainly in finance and business, working as an auditor for many years with Bainbridge Finance. Elaine enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, as well as gardening and playing the piano. Sewing and painting were among the favorite of her hobbies. 

 She leaves to cherish her memory, her dedicated and devoted husband, Lorenzo Yorong, who took such wonderful care of her during her lengthy illness; her sister, Carol Easom; her aunt and uncle, Patty and Mike VanWyck; her niece, Christy Sheffield; and a host of cousins. A special caretaker, Libby Knight, as well as her precious cat, Callie, also survive.

 Mrs. Yorong was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Easom and Wylene Fewell Easom; her paternal grandparents, Buddy and Jewel Easom; her maternal grandparents, Howard and Louise Fewell; as well as her brother, William Easom.
