Edith Mae Henry Harris, age 85, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday morning, Jan. 1, 2021 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Nate Lehman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Harris was born in Colquitt, GA on May 20, 1935 to John William "Mann" Henry and Myrtle Margie Widner Henry. She owned and operated The Sewing Basket in Donalsonville for a number of years and was a homemaker. Mrs. Harris was an active member of Friendship United Methodist Church, where she served as the President of the United Methodist Women for several years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Al Harris and wife Renee of Donalsonville, GA, Kay Lane and husband Eric of Albany, GA, and Becky Harris of San Antonio, TX; her son-in-law, Ron Arnold; her sister, Elizabeth H. Goodson of Albany, GA; and her brother, Sherwood Henry of Bainbridge, GA; and her sister-in-law, Ella Mae Henry. Mrs. Harris is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Lane, Jordon Harris, Bradley Harris and wife Mikayla, Cas Arnold, and Emma Chloe Arnold; as well as a great grandchild, Zoey Harris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents, John William "Mann" Henry and Myrtle Margie Widner Henry; her husband of 54 years, Bernard Harris; her daughter, Jennifer Arnold; her brothers, Alton (Bud) Henry and John Henry; as well as her sisters, Pauline Norris, Mildred Jenkins, Barbara Pierce, Jean Burgess, Jackie Gordon, Linda Freeman, and Sandra Henry.
