Donald Edward Odom, age 77, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday morning, October 31, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Athens, GA. Funeral services for Mr. Odom will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Donalsonville with Dr. Ronnie Spillers officiating. Interment will follow in Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County with Rome Ethredge, John Gray, Pat Worsley, Mike Rogerson, Ed King, and John Manning serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church. Mr. Odom was born in Donalsonville, Ga. on February 9, 1942 to Edward (L.T.) and Lois Horne Odom. Mr. Odom was a sales rep. and owner of Sears catalog store. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and doing woodwork. Mr. Odom was a member of Salem-Seminole Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Karen Miller (Ronnie) of Jefferson, Ga., his granddaughters, Carabeth Miller Hopper (Brian) and Annabeth Miller, and one great grandchild, Chloe Anne Hopper. Mr. Odom is preceded in death by his parents Edward (L.T.) and Lois Horne Odom; his wife of 50 years Anne Moulton Odom, and an infant sister.
