DIANNE NIX HIX

Delores Dianne Nix Hix, age 68, of Iron City, GA, passed away Friday morning, January 24, 2025, at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.

 A memorial service will be held on Monday evening, January 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Walden, Rev. Aaron Horne, and Bro. Vic Stuart officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

 Ms. Hix was born in Dothan, AL, on April 1, 1956, to Edd and Mildred Reese Nix. She was a high school graduate and dietary manager, having worked with Donalsonville Hospital for 15 years before her retirement. Ms. Hix was a member of Unity Church of God in Iron City, GA and loved spending time with her grandkids, gardening, sewing and watching TV. 

 She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Anthony Burch and wife Shannon of Jakin, GA, Pam Stuart and husband Vic of Donalsonville, GA, and Jenny Spooner of Iron City, GA; her grandchildren, Amber Posey and husband Ryan, Alyson Burch, Clayton Burch, Dylan Brackin and wife Jade, Anita Brackin and Austin Engram, Justin Spooner, and Joshua Spooner; as well as her great grandchildren, AngieGrace Posey, Jaxon Brackin, Wrenly Brackin, Nathan Engram, and Raelynn Engram. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Nix of Blakely, GA.

 Ms. Hix was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Mildred Reese Nix and her sister, Linda Welch.
