Dennis Dee Brock, age 70, of Donalsonville, Ga left his earthly home on Friday, May 10, 2019. Funeral services for Mr. Brock will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Bobby Littlefield, Mason Hale, Devon Gingery, Coleman Miller, Dakota Crowder, Tommy DeRousse, and Kyle Wilson serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, May 12, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Dennis was born in Atlanta, GA on November 27, 1948 to Rev. Paul and Myrtle Hanie Brock. He moved to Cumming, GA, where he lived for 26 years. He moved to Donalsonville, GA in 1997. Dennis believed in working hard and playing hard. He worked doing floor covering, upholstry, landscaping, truck driving, screen printing, and finally building houses (several for his own family). He loved the outdoors - hunting, fishing, golf, and coaching his daughter's softball team, as well as racing on the dirt track at Dixie Speed Track in Woodstock, GA. Dennis was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church, Colquitt, GA. He loved his Lord and enjoyed airing his program, Gospel South, on the Donalsonville, GA radio station, and his monthly gospel concerts featuring local groups. Dennis was a loving and devoted husband, daddy, Pop, son, and brother. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Betty Holcombe Brock; two daughters, Dena Crowder and Lori (Bobby) Littlefield; seven grandchildren, Dakota Crowder, Jessica (Devon) Gingery, Makayla Crowder, Mason (Samantha) Hale, Kassidy Crowder, Coleman Miller, Julie Miller; three great-grandchildren, Everett Gingery, Madee Hale, Markus Crowder; two great-grandchildren on the way; a large extended family including in-laws, nephews, and nieces and his loving pet, Annie. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lewis Brock; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Jewel Holcombe; son-in-law, Mitch Crowder; one niece; and two nephews.
