DANNY E. MCLENDON

 Danny Eugene McLendon, age 69, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Joel Rackley speaking.

 Mr. McLendon was born in Donalsonville, GA on May 7, 1955, to Eugene and Mary Lillian Ingram McLendon. He was a cabinet manufacturer and member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. Danny graduated from Seminole County High School in 1973, where he was a member of the Seminole County Green Machine Marching Band playing the bass drum. He enjoyed playing golf, guitar and piano, all of which he was self-taught. Fishing and hunting were among his favorite pasttimes. Danny loved children and every child he met he considered his “adopted child”. He would be quick to tell you that he was “a jack of all trades, master of none”. His wittiness and love for joking around will be greatly missed.

 He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sandra McLendon of Donalsonville, GA; his children, Stephanie Atkinson and husband Brian of Athens, GA, Jeremy McLendon of Donalsonville, GA; and Tracy West and husband Kenneth of Panama City Beach, FL; as well as “every kid he came in contact with”. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and a brother-in-law, Charles Chandler and his wife Brenda of Wadley, AL.

 Mr. McLendon was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary Lillian Ingram McLendon.
