Charlie Hayes McMillan, age 82, of Whigham, GA passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with William Jones officiating. The cremains will be buried at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. McMillan was born in Donalsonville, GA on June 11, 1938 to Charlie B and Mazie Robinson McMillan. He was a farmer and enjoyed fishing and watching western movies. Mr. McMillan “could take a tractor apart and put it back together like nobody’s business”. He was affectionately referred to as the “Candy Man” because of his love for candy. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Linda McMillan of Taylor, AL; his children, Glenda (Skip) Degroff of Hannibal, NY, Ron (Carol) McMillan of Albany, GA,Leisa McMillan (Raymond Sherrer) of Colquitt, GA, Mazie Juanita “Nita” (Gator) Richards of Cairo, GA; Adam (Sheila) Register of Pelham, GA, and Tiffany (Josh) Miller of Attapulgus, GA; his brothers, Bryan McMillan of Donalsonville, GA and Leonard McMillan (Sandra) of Bainbridge, GA; as well as 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Mr. McMillan was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie B and Mazie Robinson McMillan; his sisters, Juanita McKellar and Vera McAnally; his brother, Carl McMillan; his daughter, Ellen Alday; and his grandson, Gregory Lucious Graves.
