Charles William Shattles

Charles William Shattles, age 72, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 24, at 3:00 PM at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church under the outside pavilion with Pastor John Crisp officiating. Mr. Shattles was born in Americus, GA on November 4, 1949 to Clarence Eugene Shattles and Iva Belle Banks Shattles. He was a farmer and loved it. He was a devoted husband and loved his grandbabies. Mr. Shattles was an huge Florida State Fan. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Joyce Myrick Shattles of Donalsonville, GA; his step-daughter, Sandra Gaspar of Cairo, GA; his siblings, Doris Griffin (Don) of Iron City, GA, Dorothy Sellars of Climax, GA, Kathy Jenkins (Danny) of Donalsonville, GA, Tommy Shattles (Arlene) of Iron City, GA, Floyd Shattles (Cheryl) of Cairo, GA and Jeffie Shattles (Nancy) of Donalsonville, GA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashli Glass (Cameron), Alan Wayne Pace, and Ryan Wilson Pace; and great grandchildren, Jana Marie and Luna Sage. Mr. Shattles was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Eugene Shattles and Iva Belle Banks Shattles; his brothers, Douglas Shattles and Wayne Shattles; and his sister, Martha Jean Cross.
