CHARLES PRESLEY FRITH

Mr. Charles Presley Frith, age 81, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Sunday evening, Sept. 25, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Frith will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Johns and Rev. Mark Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Shawn Kirkland, Glenn Arnold, Ron Arnold, Jeremy Buckhaulter, Michael Gilbert, Bobbie Baldwin, and Guthrie Milton serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, Sept. 27, 2022, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM. Mr. Frith was born in Bartow, GA on Nov. 3, 1940, to M.H. and Rosa Lee Simpson Frith. Upon leaving high school, he joined the United States Navy on March 13, 1958 where he was transferred to the US Naval Training Center in San Diego, California. He proudly held numerous positions during his six years of service. After leaving the service in 1966, he came home to manage the family farm in Donalsonville, GA. He was a true Entrepreneur owning many businesses from: Helicopter, Horse, Deer Stand, Pine Straw, and Surplus just to name a few. He served as a deacon and teacher at Springfield Baptist Church and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Debbie Hughes and Rodney of Fortson, GA, Donna Kirkland of Donalsonville, GA, Denese Davis and Cliff of Seale, AL, Johnny Ray Shirley and Krista of Jakin, GA, and Alan Frith and Stacy of Jakin, GA; his grandchildren, MacKenzie Hattaway, Shawn Kirkland, Farran Kirkland, Guthrie Milton, Hannah Haywood, Kaitlyn Courts, Kenna Shirley, Kerra Grantham, and Madison Frith; as well as his great grandchildren, Jade Hattaway, Kinsley Kirkland, Holden Hicks, Cannon Buckhaulter, and Landon Kirkland and his sister, Margaret Arnold and her husband Dr. Calvin Arnold of Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Frith was preceded in death by his parents, M.H. and Rosa Lee Simpson Frith; his wife, Virginia McMullen Frith; and his brothers, Johnny Frith, Morris Frith, Ralph Frith, and Robert Frith.
